We want the UK to support us, as we scale our businesses up
The UK is facing an entrepreneurial emergency.
As female business owners we want this to change. We want the UK to become a place where female led start-ups are just as likely to grow from tabletop to £1m businesses as their male equivalents.
Our mission is to create a female founder community and provide role models, mentorship, support, and tangible advice; enabling more ambitious women like us to scale up their business and smash the tabletop.
What needs to change?
We're working hard to grow our businesses. But out-of-date barriers continue to hold us back.
We believe these changes will help close the gender gap:
1. Ease the burden of family & childcare for female entrepreneurs
Childcare must become tax deductible, and the 30 free hours scheme must start once a child reaches their first birthday.
2. Make mentoring more accessible to female entrepreneurs
Increase funding into local support networks, encourage female MDs to provide mentoring to fellow female business owners at all stages of growth.
3. Make scaling up support accessible digitally to all female entrepreneurs
Create a digital hub dedicated to the sharing of real stories and experiences, practical advice and relatable role models.
